Author Biography:

Chris Epting is an award-winning journalist and author of over 20 pop culture books, including Led Zeppelin Crashed Here: The Locations of America's Rock and Roll Landmarks, Roadside Baseball, James Dean Died Here and local history books. His In The Pipeline column has appeared in The Huntington Beach Independent since 2007. Richard D. Reinbolt was raised in Los Angeles, was a US Navy Medic in the Korean War and enjoyed a longtime career as a dedicated secondary English teacher. He is a resident of Huntington Beach. Dean Torrence, along with Jan Berry, pioneered the surf music craze in the 1960s as Jan and Dean. Torrence, a legendary musician and also well-known graphic artist, is a long-term resident of Huntington Beach.
