Description

Hugo is a boy with a passion for dance. He tries different sports at the urging of his family, but can't escape the rhythmic beat of his true calling. With unwavering determination, he convinces his mother to let him explore Ballroom Dancing. It seems as if Hugo has found his happiness, but doubt creeps in when he realises he looks different from the other dancers. Hugo Dances is a gentle tale of self-discovery, embracing uniqueness, and the power of following your dreams.

Author Biography:

Jay Crisp Crow thought she was pretty clever being a multi-award-winning copywriter turned children's book author, until her 10-year-old son took to their first book together - Hugo Dances - with the backspace button. Brutal. She lives in the wilds of the Western Australian hills with too many dogs to tell the council about and just the right amount of children and husbands. Hugo is her favourite child. Yes, he edited this biography. Hugo Crisp Crow is the whirlwind who's all about sports, dancing, and eating pasta. At the time his first book launched he had just turned 11. In 2023, Hugo found his love of performing arts stretched beyond the ballroom, and he discovered his voice through Musical Theatre. Hugo Dances isn't just about winning - it's about hard work, determination, acceptance, and finding the courage to chase your dreams. He doesn't have many awards to include yet, but he's working on them. He approved this biography because, after all, he's the expert.
