It is well known that many core business principles are the same regardless of the type business one is in. How To Start Your Own Clothing Brand is truly a great read and a wonderful motivational book for the young business entrepreneur.

Author Biography:

From his motto of "always follow your dreams" and "do what you love", James Ross founded KISS THE GIRL CLOTHING COMPANY and knew nothing about the clothing manufacturing business when he started. Once he decided to start is own line, what he did know, was that he would focus his brand in the exact opposite direction from what the "trendy brands" were doing at the time. James ' mantra was to always LEAD and never follow" masses. . As he taught at fashion seminars, if you "follow" the trends of the time, you are far too late and are likely doomed for failure. Learning as much about the apparel business BEFORE he even considered selling his products, through trial and error, James started to "get it". James knew it was crucial to understand his target market and what they truly desired. In 2004 James Ross founded KISS THE GIRL CLOTHING COMPANY, and in 2006 he moved to Arizona to be near his new grandsons and two of his three own sons. In 2008 KTG officially introduced their products to wholesale buyers at the Atlanta Apparel Market. In three short days they were selling their products wholesale to over twenty five retail stores across the south. After less than three years, James had established his brand as a real trend setting clothing company. Before long KTG/s unique products were selling in retail stores in forty-seven states, Canada and abroad. Internet sales through their own site were also strong. To understand the REAL reason James Ross wrote this book, is to educate others about his one crucial mistake he had made with the very company he founded. This lesson alone is well worth the small investment for this most revealing book. Knowing the full story and the information you will learn will surly educate and inspire each of you to follow those dreams and NEVER let anyone tell you that something is not possible. When adversity raises its head and you are knocked down, GETUP. Cliche' but true, nothing ventured, nothing gained. As James always espouses, don't ever regret not trying something, or starting over. To simply wonder what "could" have happened is haunting. This is a great business and with everything in place, the sky can be the limit. Watch for the new KISS THE GIRL CLOTHING CO coming soon. I truly hope we cross paths along the way. Just remember that the opportunities for all of us are endless and the apparel business can be awesome.
