Author Biography:

Dr Ross Mars Ross has had a long involvement in permaculture and is one of the most authoritative permaculture teachers, designers and consultants in Australia, and author of four other books on the subject. He has also produced two videos on energy efficient housing design and renewable energy systems for power generation. Besides designing, building and installing greywater systems, rainwater tank systems, gardens and water-sensible irrigation systems, Ross and Jenny are currently setting up their property, Candlelight Farm, in Mundaring that includes strawbale accommodation, demonstration gardens and a wholesale nursery. Simone Willis Simone is a self-taught artist. She lives in the hills east of Perth on a few acres amongst the bush. Simone grew up immersed in the permaculture lifestyle, and thought that everybody lived like this. Simone works part-time in the family business, has her own small business and spends as much time as she can working on the property she shares with her partner, son, her sister's family and a menagerie of animals.
