Your heart longs for safety, significance, and love. Your soul yearns for truth, certainty, and peace. You need hope. Real hope. Sure and certain hope. That's what this book is about. Multiple award-winning author, speaker, and grief specialist Gary Roe is a trusted voice in grief recovery who has been bringing hope and healing to wounded hearts for more than three decades. A former missionary, pastor, and hospice chaplain, Gary has walked with tens of thousands of souls through the painful valley of loss. In Hope in a World Gone Mad, Gary brings us into a conversation - a conversation of loss, pain, grief, fear, and hope. Here's why Gary wrote this book: "I'm deeply concerned by the loss, death, pain, and fear that I see around me. People are grieving as never before. People are scared. Terrified. I see it in their eyes and hear it in their voices. We're experiencing loss upon loss, every day. We need hope. I believe that the ultimate source of hope and love is God Himself. I wrote this book to share what I know and what I have. I have shared my heart - and hopefully that will connect with many other troubled hearts out there." If you're looking for an in-depth analysis of the grief process, this book isn't it. This book is about discovering hope - real hope, forever hope - amid terrible grief in a world gone crazy. This book is about finding God in loss, fear, and uncertainty. If any of the following describes you, chances are your heart will resonate with this book: You are grieving a deep loss and are open to hearing how a relationship with God can make a difference in their life and grief process. You are religious but long for more in their spiritual life. You are a Christian who is hurting and concerned about what's happening to and around them. You are a Christian who is concerned for those around you and looking for ways to share love and hope. Everyday life is a war. Each day we wake up to a fierce battle raging in our own hearts and in the world around us. We need good, trustworthy companions for this exhausting journey. Perhaps Hope in a World Gone Mad can be such a companion for you. Let the conversation of hope begin.
