This was the perfect book to read on Halloween! The creepiness starts out slow, then it hits hard & keeps going. I loved the back & forth in the timeline, with the past being told through the book Maggie's father wrote about their 20 days in Baneberry Hall. Was it ghosts & malevolent spirits from past tragedies, or was the whole thing made up? I thought I knew what the outcome was going to be, but I was wrong again & again. I really enjoyed this, but I might need to leave the light on when I go to sleep tonight.
