Description

During the past two full moons, twelve villagers from the medieval town of Ravenscar, England, have been taken by attacking gargoyles. The gargoyles live in an underground world and speak a sinister language. "Marushka savru tamsha falra numshee," one sneers after being captured by Gunderic, a boy who is on a mission to save the village and his twin sister from the clutches of the gargoyles. Gunderic lives by the motto, "fortune favors the brave." He comes across Horcum, a small banished gargoyle who is as friendly and curious as he is mischievous. With the help of his best friend, little sister and the girl that holds his heart, 12-year-old Gunderic embarks on an adventure that leads him into the center of the gargoyle lair. During the friends' journey into Ravenscar Forest, they encounter characters such as sorceress Lady Raven who bestows them with magical gifts and Varen Daly a portly wise man of the forest who is not all that he seems. The gargoyle queen, Dragooschka, is plotting to use the villagers as slaves or encase them in stone to adorn her castle. She commands an army of gargoyles that terrorize Ravenscar. Join Gunderic as he fights to his destiny with fortune at his side.
