Author Biography:

Mich Turner's pioneering work in the world of creative cake decoration means she is often described as the Queen of Couture Cakes. She originally trained as a Food Scientist and was Patisserie Buyer at Harvey Nichols before founding her hugely successful Little Venice Cake Company in 1999. She has baked over 10,000 cakes including those for Her Majesty The Queen, Madonna, Pierce Brosnan, Ozzy Osbourne, Gordon Ramsay, David Beckham, and Simon Cowell. She was Harper & Bazaar and Chanel Entrepreneur of the Year 2006 and is the author of five highly successful books: Spectacular Cakes (best Dessert Book, Gourmand World Cookbook Awards), Fantastic Party Cakes, Couture Wedding Cakes and Cake Masterclass (best book for food professionals, Gourmand World Cookbook Awards) and Cake School. Mich regularly demonstrates at international cake shows and has appeared as a judge on two series of the hugely successful ITV programme Britain's Best Bakery. She was honoured with a prestigious MBE medal from Her Majesty the Queen in 2010 for her services to the catering industry.
