Since going to Australia, the recipe has been changed to a typical Australian biscuit. They have lost our NZ flair and something is missing. They are a bit gritty and have a good ginger taste, but sadly disappointed. They used to be my favourite but just lack something.
An intense ginger flavoured biscuit with a hard crunch, many enjoy the dunking ritual associated with Gingernuts. Gingernuts also has a catchy jingle many New Zealanders remember … “There's no gingernuts taste quite the same, ask for Griffin's Gingernuts by name!”

Wheat Flour, Sugar, Vegetable Fat [Antioxidant (306)], Brown Sugar, Ginger (1%),
Salt, Flavour, Raising Agent (Baking Soda), Milk Solids.
