The Book of Proverbs contains a significant amount of information pertaining to the wisdom of God. Strong's Exhaustive Concordance indicates that the words "wisdom," "wise," "wisely" and "wiser" are used more than 500 times in the Book of Proverbs alone. In "God's Wisdom Is Available to You," we will carefully study many of these Scripture references. We also will study many other Scripture references throughout the Bible to learn everything we can about the wisdom of God. We each should learn from the holy Scriptures exactly what our Father wants us to do to receive manifestation of the wisdom He has offered to us. Unbelievers cannot receive the wisdom of God. I believe that only a small percentage of all believers have learned how to receive God's wisdom. All people who have received Jesus Christ as their Savior should take full advantage of the wonderful privilege we have been given of being able to receive wisdom directly from heaven. God's wisdom is available to each of us to use throughout every day of our lives. Our Father has given us His wisdom to show us how to find and carry out His will for our lives, to improve our marriages, to raise our children effectively, to do an excellent job in our vocations and to receive His answers to the problems we face. In addition to studying the Word of God to learn about the wisdom of God, we also will study the holy Scriptures to learn what they say about the knowledge, understanding and guidance our loving Father has provided for us. We will see from God's Word exactly how God's wisdom, knowledge, understanding and guidance are meant to work together in our lives. This book is solidly anchored on 501 Scripture references that tell us how to receive wisdom, knowledge, understanding and guidance from God. These instructions and promises from God are meant to be studied, not just to be read. Our Father wants His promises and instructions to fill our eyes, our ears, our minds, our hearts and our mouths. We must know and obey the instructions our Father has given to us if we sincerely desire to receive His wisdom. We must know God's promises and act in faith upon these promises if we sincerely desire to receive our Father's wisdom. Receiving God's wisdom isn't simply a matter of our saying, "God, I want Your wisdom" and God saying, "Okay. Here it is." Our heavenly Father loves us much more than any parent here on earth has ever loved his or her children. Our Father wants very much to pour out His wisdom and many other blessings upon His beloved children. God's wisdom isn't something we labor for. Our loving Father will reveal His wisdom to us if we continually seek a close and intimate personal relationship with Him. Our Father will reveal His wisdom to us if we learn how to spend a great deal of time in His presence. Unfortunately, some of God's children actually block their loving Father from giving them the wisdom He so very much wants to give to them. Some of us block Him because we haven't taken the time to obey His instructions to study and meditate on His Word daily. As a result, some of us simply do not know what our Father instructs us to do in order to receive His wisdom and the many other blessings He wants to give to us. Some of us know what our Father promises He will do for us in regard to giving us His wisdom and many other blessings, but we block Him from giving us these blessings because of doubt and unbelief. We must obey our Father's instructions that tell us exactly what He wants us to do so that our faith in Him will be strong, absolute and unwavering.
