Description

When Russell the sheep finally falls asleep--he snores!

Review

"..It turns out that Russell is having trouble sleeping. He tries a variety of positions, changes the light level by pulling his nightcap down over his eyes, and thinks maybe he is too hot. The dark scares him and without his wooly sheepskin covering his body, he is cold. The solution-counting sheep. His success is revealed when the book's last spread is opened and closed. The snore may remind some readers of members of their own family. Originally produced as a picture book entitled Russell the Sheep, the board book version while abridged and slightly different is just as amusing as the original." Children's Literature
