Description

Glories to Useless Heroism: The Seven Years' War in North America from the French Journals of Comte Maures De Malartic, 1755-1760

Author Biography:

William Raffle lives and works in Derbyshire and has been studying colonial North America for many years. After a long hiatus in study he is currently part-way through an MA in Early Modern History at the University of Sheffield. He has a particular focus on the Seven Years War and its transformative power on all of the nations and cultures who experienced it. This current project evolved as a spare-time project in between his career as a peripatetic music teacher and is part of the resurgence of interest in the Anglophone world of the history of New France.
