Author Biography:

Michael Hyde writes mainly for adolescents and YA. He gained a PhD with his memoir of the Sixties, All along the Watchtower. Prior to his 20 years lecturing in Professional Writing and Childrens Literature at Victoria University he spent 25 as a secondary school English teacher. Although a full time writer, Michael continues to present writing workshops for students and teachers across Australia. Gabrielle Glourys career in social policy and secondary teaching has honed her astute observations, research and professional writing skills. A feminist, political junkie and self-confessed sports tragic, Girls Change the Game is her first venture into the world of adolescent fiction. After a decade of secondary teaching Gabrielle held senior positions at Victoria University, Victorian public sector and the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Commission.
