Author Biography:

LINDA EDMONDSON is Research Fellow at the Centre for Russian and East European Studies, University of Birmingham. She is author of Feminism in Russia, 1900-1917, editor of Women and Society in Russia and the Soviet Union and is co-editor of Civil Rights in Imperial Russia and Economy and Society in Russia and the Soviet Union .
