If you think this is another Burt Reynolds/ Hal Needham Chase/barroom brawl movie you'd be right. Sequel to White lightening which unfortunately I've not seen and can't compare. The first half is great with some fantastic boat chase stunt action but the second half loses momentum. It is still well worth a look for Burt fans. Jerry Reed is back again (smokey and the bandit) but this time as the bad guy. 4 star but 3.5 is closer
Gator

Gator is reluctant at first, but once he discovers Bama is involved in extortion, prostitution…and murder, the suspense builds to an explosive climax, as old friends become deadly enemies.
