Description

From Depression to Bliss covers the many causes of depression and all the main therapies. The therapeutic approaches of modern psychology and psychiatry are identified and integrated using ideas from the Vedic tradition including Ayur Vedic Medicine and Transcendental Meditation. Depression is treated with a spectrum of therapies: Cognitive and Behavioral therapies, Psychotherapy, Group Therapy, Drug treatment, Natural Medicine and Meditation. Understanding how these all work, how effective they are, and which people they suit, allows you to choose the right approach. The different ways of gaining knowledge in different treatments is described. With increasing balance, integration, synchrony, and transcendence, the path from depression to health leads us on to a higher state, of enlightenment and bliss.
