Author Biography:

Gottfried Knapp is a critic of art and architecture at the Süddeutsche Zeitung and a member of the Bayerische Akademie der Schönen Künste. He is the editor of several books, including Christina von Bitter: The Skin of Things. Bernhard Graf is an art historian and the author, most recently, of Bridges That Changed the World.
