Description

In the bustling medieval Tibetan Forbidden City of Lhasa, Chgyam Dawa runs a tea shop. Despite his serious demeanor, Chgyam is a compassionate man who is always willing to help those in need. It is in his shop that he meets Lhakpa Dolma, a beautiful young woman who is a devoted Buddhist with a gentle nature. Despite their differences in religion, an impossible romance begins. Trouble soon arrives in Lhasa as Bn demons begin to infest the city. Chgyam and Lhakpa decide to investigate the reason behind this infestation and meet Tenzin Gyatso, an elderly monk with immense knowledge about both Bon and Buddhist teachings. Tenzin becomes their mentor as they try to solve the mystery of the demon infestation. As they delve deeper into the matter, they learn that the Buddhist gods are driving out the Bn demons from Tibet, which threatens to push out the old Bn religion altogether. Both sides see themselves as good and the other side as evil, leading to a conflict between the two religions. Chgyam and Lhakpa must navigate this conflict while trying to find a solution to the demon infestation. They learn that there are secrets on both sides, and neither religion is entirely good or evil. The Bn priests see the Buddhist gods as demons themselves, while the Buddhists believe they are doing what is right. The conflict between the two religions comes to a head as both sides clash in a battle for control of the city. Chgyam and Lhakpa find themselves caught in the middle of this conflict, struggling to maintain their love for each other while also trying to do what is right.
