Description

From childhood, John Wagner struggled with dyslexia, ADHD and severe environmental allergies. His young adulthood was marked by the additions of multiple food allergies, ulcerative colitis, and Lyme Disease. Naturally, these physical handicaps led to intense feelings of inadequacy. John had always known Jesus. He was baptized into the Roman Catholic Church as an infant, attended Sunday Mass with his family every week, and vividly recalls a moment as a young boy when, in his mind's eye, he saw Jesus lovingly holding him in His lap. The dichotomy of John's faith and his many illnesses caused him to question God many times throughout his life, and sometimes even be extremely angry at Him. Yet nothing could ever take away John's love for his Father... or could it? In midlife, as John continued to deal with the challenges of his youth, in addition to an ever-changing array of new symptoms, he begins to wonder if a solution will ever be found... if healing is nothing more than a pipe dream. For the Love of God is the story of a man who is pushed to the outermost limits of his refusal to give up on his Lord despite lifelong suffering. It is the chronicle of seeking the manifested evidence of faith when living for the love of God.

Author Biography:

John lives with his wife, Mary in Wisconsin. He enjoys spending time with his four adult children, playing golf, listening to sermons and Bible studies on the radio, and talking with others about the peace that can be found in Jesus regardless of the challenges life may bring.
