Fire Pro Wrestling World is in stark contrast to WWE 2k19 but don't let that put you off. It may take a few hours to get to grips with the complex control scheme and crucial timing but once it clicks it's superbly rewarding.
Adding created wrestlers from the community is easy and the action itself flows neatly, despite the low-fi graphics. The single player campaign mode is tough with a steep learning curve but successfully creates an environment of pulling you into that ‘just one more match’ mentality.
The addition of NJPW wrestlers such as Kenny Omega, Tetsuya Naito and Kazuchika Okada provides another fun alternative to the WWE franchise. 8/10
