Description

"Festival of Beasts" is a fast-paced tale of deceit, which begins in Florida and peaks in the filthy streets of a South American village during a century old annual celebration. Murder, an art heist, and a kidnapping bring together thirty-year-old Amelia and ten-year-old Gabriel. Trapped together, they must outsmart drug lords, militia, and de banditos to escape terror plaguing the Settlement. A journey from darkness to light in the physical realm mirrors Amelia's inner journey through the dark cloud of providence.

Author Biography:

At the age of six, Pamela woke from a nightmare sparked from an argument with a childhood friend. She slipped from her blankets, sat by moonlight, and wrote an apology. The childish words on paper seemed to cast light through the darkness. On other childhood occasions, when she didn't comprehend the behavior of certain people, she wrote about it in a journal and came to understand their conflicts were within and not with her, learning at a young age the importance of perception and that writing is a method of examination and discovery. She says the process is an exciting journey and next to her family and beloved animals, writing is the love of her life. She's written poetry and prose which can be found in literary journals such as Ping Pong, Thrush Poetry Journal, Copperfield Review, Apeiron Review, Apocrypha and Abstraction, and other journals. She enjoys life in a small town in Central Florida where alligators live on lake shores and the elegant wings of egrets grace the bluest skies.
