Hello, I'm Larry Mortensen. I was born in 1940 in Virden, New Mexico- a tiny town that my father helped settle in the early 1900's. I've had stories running through my head all my life. I tried writing a book when I was younger, but after a very nasty rejection I stopped. At the time I needed to support my family. I'm the father of eight children and rejections wouldn't feed them. I worked all over the western United States in construction, from housing to high rise work. Being gone paid the bills, but I decided that being home was worth being poor, so I came home. I spent the last twenty-five years doing home repairs in our hometown. Now that I'm semi-retired, I have the time to write without the worry about the selling. I live in south eastern Arizona with my wife of over fifty years. If I never sell one book I have no regrets...I'm enjoying writing them. I'd love to hear from readers.
