Description

A young woman runs away to L.A. to protect the people she loves from the most dangerous person she knows-herself. Miranda George is broken. She sacrificed the good parts of herself to keep her little brother safe in their abusive home. The day of her mother's funeral, she runs away to L.A. to hide her terrifying secret-a new diagnosis that's made her a ticking bomb. Her college friend Daphne welcomes Miranda into her home. Soon Miranda falls hard for Daphne's friend John, a handsome tech genius who makes her feel something that truly scares her-love. She doesn't want to hurt anyone, but what if she can't help it? In a ploy to drive everyone in her life away, Miranda does something unforgivable and then flees to Las Vegas to disappear forever. But Miranda doesn't count on her friends seeing straight into her heart. They track her down, and in one brutal night, all of her shocking secrets are revealed. Torn between a past that haunts her and a future she never thought she deserved, Miranda must face her deepest fears. Can she finally believe that she's worthy of family, kindness-and love? Author's note: The main character of Fallout Girl has bipolar disorder-and I'm a bipolar-autistic author. Like all of the books in the Hollywood Lights series, Fallout Girl centers neurodiversity and carefully handles trauma. It also features a love triangle with a sexy computer coder and a dreamboat movie star, two kind-hearted girlfriends who want to help her heal, plenty of angst, and a happily-ever-after. Content Note: Fallout Girl features strong romantic elements with some steamy and fade-to-black scenes. There are flashback scenes of child abuse and neglect by parents, of attempted killing by poisoning, and of self-defense killing by gun. The IPPY-Gold-winning Hollywood Lights series is full of angst, romance, family drama, deep friendship ties, and happily ever afters. The series is now complete. Perfect for fans of Colleen Hoover. "Fallout Girl is a love story wrapped inside a heart-rending struggle for personal freedom." -Washington Post bestselling author Sonja Yoerg for Booktrib Magazine "Fallout Girl is dangerous, sexy, motorcycle ride of a story, which pulls off the feat of being both humorous and heartbreaking at the same time." -Sandra Block, author of Girl Overboard "In Fallout Girl, Pryal weaves a compelling story of friendship, family, and love with a honest look at mental illness that doesn't shy away from the painful realities so often hidden beneath the surface." -Susan Bishop Crispell, author of The Secret Ingredient of Wishes
