I have had this game for a week now. The game begins with interviews allowing you to answer with your game set-up preferences, directed mainly at the ‘Career mode’.
The career mode immediately draws you in and before you know it, you're on track, struggling with the changes to the Bahrain Circuit since F1 2004.
The game offers a full range of customisable car settings, as well as race weekend settings, allowing you to choose length of the race itself from 10%-Full as well as choosing which sessions of Practice and Qualifying you want to compete in.
For beginners the game offers a range of rule and driver aids which really helps in getting into the game quickly, It also makes the game the most realistic yet in terms of combining the rules of Formula 1 with the handling of a Formula 1 car.
This comes from the new physics model Codemasters has used in the game. The tracks in the game are no longer perfectly smooth like before, making your car move and bounce in places instead of floating on the track. Over the course of a race, the track develops a racing line with rubber laid down giving extra grip, and a drying line in wet weather races, which is very noticeable over the course of a race. As well as this, the fun side of gamers will finally enjoy a Formula 1 game where the cars can roll and flip in crashes, and spread carbon-fibre wings across the track.
Overall, F1 2010 provides fans and racing game lovers with a fantastically realistic, visually pleasing and FUN racer that will keep them entertained for a long time.
