Deep Story Campaign – Kill thing, try save people. Dynamic Side Missions – All are “kill x things” and “save x people”, which you will end up doing anyway. Skill-Based Combat – Nope, run to thing and mash attack. Try not to knock enemies in the air as it takes way to long to get back down and people will die in the mean time. Interactive Environment – Press R1 to get catapulted in a almost random direction for a distance you can estimate. You will shatter every barrel and fence you come across like it was never there. Innumerable Battle Scenarios – Have the experience of getting lost in a city you have never been to before without a map, when you have to be somewhere in 5 minutes in peak traffic.
Also feels fake – enemies will spawn right next to the people you have to save but will wait a moment before attacking giving you time to save them, other times civilians will die right after a cut scene where it is impossible to save them.
All the levels are the same, the combat is boring, the characters are dull, and killing the big enemies is methodical – break armour, hit leg, hit head.
