Description

With everyone striving to improve their quality of life, gardening has come to the fore as a leisure pursuit. In a largely urban environment, the passing on of gardening skills from generation to generation is a haphazard affair at best, and more and more of us come to gardening as complete innocents. With a change of location or a change in lifestyle we might encounter fresh challenges or have to overcome new limitations. In short, we all need advice from time to time. Who better to give this advice than Valerie Scriven and Rob Cassy, of Garden Books, one of the world's leading gardening bookshops? After years of helping and advising their customers, they have put their ideas into this informal reference book which will appeal to gardeners of all ages and abilities.

Author Biography

Valerie Scriven founded Garden Books, the UK's only garden bookshop after many years leading special-interest historical and botanical tours through her company, East of Suez Ltd. She gardens in Worcestershire, London and North Carolina with her family.
