Description

This work consists of two about equal parts. The first part is based upon the daily diary the author kept from late October 1967 through late June 1968, when he was wounded in action. During his time in the Mekong Delta region in South Vietnam, the author spent half his time with either the infantry as forward observer or with a howitzer battery. The second part of this work states both some military and political reasons why America lost the Vietnam War and other such topics. Various other trenchant observations, analysis and conclusions are also made.
