Author Biography:

Robert Basil teaches Applied Communications, Digital Marketing, and Entrepreneurial Leadership classes in the School of Business at Kwantlen Polytechnic University. In addition, he teaches MBA and undergraduate courses in business and communications at University Canada West. He previously taught at Simon Fraser University, Cogswell Polytechnical Institute, and Villa Maria College. Mr. Basil founded the multimedia services company, Basil Communications Inc. He has also worked as senior acquisitions editor for Prometheus Books, Inc. and as executive editor for Free Inquiry Magazine. In addition, Mr. Basil has served both as editor and contributing author for two popular essay collections. He has been a frequent presenter as well as keynote speaker at various conferences. Mr. Basil received his M.A. from Stanford University and his B.A. from State University of New York at Buffalo. A veteran of the Applied Communications Department of Kwantlen Polytechnic University's School of Business, David Ingre has taught a variety of business, technical, and professional writing and communication courses in American and Canadian colleges, universities, and corporate training programs for more than 25 years. He has worked as a federal government civil servant, as an instructional designer, and as a teacher of English as a second language on two continents. Mr. Ingre owns a consulting service that focuses on curriculum development, the creation of promotional and marketing materials, and specialized correspondence. His business communications textbooks have been published in both the United States and Canada. With an academic background in Romance Linguistics, Mr. Ingre is fluent in French and Spanish.
