Excerpt from Elizabeth College Register, 1824-1873, With a Record of Some Earlier Students: A Chapter of Island History It will not escape notice that the history has been written up to 1826 only, and that no comment has been made on later changes in the constitution of the Governing Body, or in the Statutes of the College. The Revised Statutes of 1852 are available to any enquirer, and it would be, in our opinion, a pity to rob Volume II. Of its due share in the narration of events of interest. Suffice it to say that up to the present date the College has fully maintained its high standard of instruction and efficiency, and can more than hold its own in these days of keen competition, as the annual record of honours abundantly testifies.
