1889. With multiform illustrations. Eli Perkins, the pen name of Melville Landon, took up platform humor and enjoyed a great deal of success at it. He was ranked among the foremost humorists of the day, with the likes of Mark Twain, Josh Billings, Uncle Remus and Artemus Ward. He also opened speaking engagements for the famous Beechers. This volume contains a collection of Landon's commentary on a variety of topics.
