Wonderfully satisfying. It tied the series off nicely. Great blend of humour, drama, and everything you could wish for in a period movie. The movie on its own is spectacular, but is even better appreciated if you have followed the series first.

Critic Reviews:

  • " I honestly didn't see the reason for a movie of Downton Abbey to exist, but now I get it. " – Fletcher Powell
  • " While it doesn't offer much for those not familiar with the show, seeing the characters again feels like greeting old friends for those who watched all six seasons. " – Nicole Ackman
  • " Revelations are made, storylines from the TV show are closed and, as always, life goes on at Downton. It all feels very familiar but like a comforting cup of tea, very welcome. " – Richard Crouse
