Description

Has your child ever made a complete mess of your house at PRECISELY THE WRONG MOMENT? Stan is delighted to hear someone is interested in buying his house but has to deal with a double disaster when he agrees to look after his friend's daughter, Jane. When a craft project takes over the garden and a simple lunch trashes the kitchen it's left to Doug to try and get things back on track. But he doesn't have long to think. As the doorbell chimes the garden is invaded by a very crafty army. Doug and Jane must work together to stop next-door neighbour Dotty's crazy plan before their house becomes EVEN MESSIER. Doug & Stan - The School of Scary Art is the third book by David Richardson in his series of funny, short stories told through rhyme. Fans of Dr Seuss will love this creatively written story about the perils of entertaining kids. With broad appeal for children and adults alike and an interwoven message of the values of team work, The School of Scary Art provides an opportunity for all primary school children to develop vocabulary and increase their confidence. Author Biography:

David Richardson is the author of Doug & Stan, a fictitious series of funny, short stories for children told through rhyme. David was born and raised in a mining town in Nottinghamshire, England but now lives with his wife and three daughters in Adelaide, Australia. Significantly outnumbered by the female species, David climbs out of bed at 5am every morning to get stuff done before the daily chaos begins. His other career highlights include working as a Supermarket Trolley Collector (which is incredibly hard to do in the snow), Gardener (also incredibly hard to do in the snow), Police Officer (many people still don't believe he's tall enough to be a cop) and Toilet Buyer (don't ask)! Readers can connect with David at david-richardson.com.au.
