Description

"Nolly's given me this notebook to take my mind off my insides. I love its starry cover and its smooth white pages just waiting to be filled up...I will use it to record my life and secret thoughts..." Life is pretty good for eleven-year-old Finch. She lives with her unconvenrional 'girl power' family - a messy, scatty Mum - and a chain-smoking adopted gran, Nolly. But then things begin to change...Her best friend Cassic goes to a different school - and her gran falls ill. And then there's her mum's new boyfriend who doesn't measure up to Finch's image of her dead dad, and who spends far too much time with Finch'smum. Finch wants things to go back to the way they were. But when her campaign to get rid of 'Action Man' does succeed, Finch finds that she's bitten off more than she can chew. A funny lively story about growing up and living with change, wittily written in diary format from an award-winning author.
