Description

World-champion fin swimmer Shavarsh Karapetyan rose to fame on September 16, 1976, after he pulled 37 people out of a flooded trolleybus in Yerevan Lake, Armenia. Karapetyan suffered chronic lung damage and had a lengthy recuperation, but his unselfish bravery and tenacity made a lasting impression on the globe. Numerous others are still motivated by his narrative, which serves as a constant reminder of the strength of bravery, empathy, and fortitude in the face of difficulty. Karapetyan's lasting legacy serves as a testament to the positive influence that an individual may have on the lives of others.
