The book is divided into 100 viva voce sessions each sessions consisting of about 14 to 15 questions with their respective answers. Questions have been randomly placed on topics covering Organon, Philosophy, Materia Medica and Repertory basics, as well as lesser known minute details. Most questions are direct and simple, with a few indirect ones thrown in between which serve as mind benders and help look at a particular topic from newer, different angles. It is suggested to use this book not only for examination preparations but regularly as a quick check and self assessment of one's knowledge.

A L Blackwood is Professor of clinical medicine and Materia Medica in the Hahnemann medical college Chicago. He is the author of A manual of Materia medica, therapeutics pharmacology. Disease of the Heart, Disease of the Lungs and Disease of the Liver, Pancreas and Ductless glands.
