Description

Everyone knows you shouldn't make a deal with the devil, but what do you do when you find out you married her? Or worse yet, what if you saw a devil in yourself? I grew up in America's heartland with 10 siblings and l can say with certainty that my childhood was post apocalyptic boot camp. The most important lessons I learned: 1) Revenge is like cheese... it tastes delicious hot, cold, or any way you serve it. 2) Victory favors the clever, so always have a strategy. 3) Even the best strategy can end in a giant vomit-fest. My name is Lou Sopher, and I thought I had a perfect life with the perfect wife until the illusion shattered with a single revelation. Caught in the throes of a vicious divorce, I pictured a new side of her... a side with horns, a tail, and a digital pitchfork. She was my Satan. And the crazy part? She blamed her sins on me. My childhood training for revenge drove me to write a book with all the juicy details. However, as I rehashed the journey of un-marrying in an epic revenge story, a new perspective emerged. Perhaps she had a point. From my first lie at the dinner table when I was six, to the lonely nights I ate alone following the divorce, I realized that the real dinners with Satan were with the devil hiding in my own mirror. This is one dinner date you don't want to miss. Cut yourself a slice of devil's food cake and sink your fangs into a memoir steeped in wit, wisdom, and all out marital war. Wanna Bite?

Author Biography

Lou Sopher is an author and marriage survivor residing in a small suburban town he likes to refer to as the Fiery Pits of Hell. He grew up with 10 siblings in a small town south of Kansas City and learned from an early age that we all - even the very best of us - have a devil inside. Aside from poking people with his pitchfork, he enjoys long walks on the beach and spending time roasting marshmallows over the lake of fire in his hometown. This is his first book on life in Heaven's Basement... the place we all call home. "Not quite Heaven, not quite Hell."
