The Lewinsky scandal provided President Clinton with a stern challenge to his political credibility in 1998-99. Author Biography:

ROBERT BUSBY is currently a Lecturer in American Studies at Liverpool Hope University College. Previous publications include Reagan and the Iran-Contra Affair: The Politics of Presidential Recovery.
