This is Joe Pesci's first starring role after he made a name for himself in "Raging Bull" and in this riveting movie, he plays a small man looking for a big break. As the owner of a bowling alley and a nightclub in New Jersey, he sets his sights on making it big in Las Vegas as an entertainer. Unfortunately he gets involved with a lot more than he bargained for, and in the end is a much bigger man for it.
