Author Biography:

Life-long Ohio resident Sandra Gurvis is the author of nine books and hundreds of magazine articles on travel and other topics. Her titles include Careers for Nonconformists (Marlowe, 2000), which was a selection of the Quality Paperback Book Club; The Well-Traveled Dog (TFH, 2001); America's Strangest Museums (Carol/Citadel, 1998, 1996); 30 Great Cities to Start Out In (Arco/Macmillan, 1997); Way Stations to Heaven (Arco/Macmillan, 1996); among others. A novel about campus uprisings in a small Ohio town, The Pipe Dreamers, was published by Olmstead Press in 2001. She lives in Columbus, Ohio.
