Dark Skies Reviews
“..I thought that Stewart's story was a bit too plodding and drama-heavy at the start, [but] the scares he infuses throughout Dark Skies whenever the aliens decide to have a little fun at the Barretts' expense were downright creepy at times, which should make this an enjoyable experience for those of you out there who can keep an open mind and just enjoy the movie for what it is. Hardcore horror fans will need to probably look elsewhere” Dread Central
“..for people who like horror and sci-fi in equal measure and are in the mood for something new but familiar, and creepy but not too scary. Given its relatively quick moments of actual horror – and its surprisingly effective themes about the importance of family – Dark Skies would actually make for a reasonably solid "family night” horror option. And we can always use a few decent chillers that are OK for kids." FearNet
“An old-fashioned scary movie; a sci-fi horror that is a workmanlike piece of film-making, with some effective shocks, cheerfully borrowing from other sources, most obviously Spielberg.” Guardian UK
“Effectively unsettling, Dark Skies is a science-fiction thriller that plays like an episode of The Twilight Zone crossed with Poltergeist.” Austin Chronicle
