When Scarlett Wing's mother named her after Scarlett O'Hara, she hoped that her daughter would grow up to be fierce, loyal, and particular. Mama Wing's expectations were spot-on: Her own Scarlett grew up to be a high school Creative Writing teacher - who practices what she teaches by writing children's books. When Ms. Scarlett isn't teaching writing, or writing herself, you'll probably find her behind a pair of binoculars. She and her spouse are avid birdwatchers in their eastern Tennessee slice of paradise. Can you guess her favorite birds? Ones with scarlet wings, perhaps? (psssst!
