Danganronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc, frequently abbrievated to Danganronpa, is a murder mystery visual novel developed by Spike Chunsoft. Its Japanese name is Dangan Ronpa: Academy of Hope and High School Students of Despair. The script and story of the game were written by Kodaka Kazutaka and the illustrations were done by Komatsuzaki Rui. The series' title, Danganronpa, is compounded from the words bullet (dangan) and refutation (ronpa).
