But according to ethnologists, the upraised bottom and the presentation of the female pudenda rank among the strongest sexual sign stimuli. This expresses itself in the human urge for artistic creation: painters, sculptors, literati and poets have always kept a sharp eye on backsides. So too has photographer Martin Krake, who evokes our enthusiasm with this volume, which contains a large number of erotic rear views.
