Description

Originally written in A.D. 1106- 1108 by Abbott Guibert de Nogent, a French Cleric who collected information on the First Crusade, the author takes us back in history to relive this uncommon and fascinating story. Join in the confusing preparation of the crusade, follow the holy warriors as they spend time in a foreign country, and relive the deliverance of Jerusalem. Guibert wrote of this difficult time not even a decade after the events took place. Faithful to God, his explanations are written with thankfulness and although there is mention of faith this story is full of interesting actions and is never tedious or dull. If we cannot trust Guibert who heard these stories first hand, who else can we rely on to get 900 year old facts about the cruel Crusade? Read vivid details of princes, knights, soldiers, battles, and skirmishes. This book even reveals information of the severely hunger-stricken crusaders who sometimes but seldom ate their enemies! Though there was useless killing, suffering, and bewailing - in the end their mission was accomplished. At a very high price Jerusalem was liberated! The author published this book so an essential part of our history would never be forgotten. Go back in time and read the fascinating story of the Crusader for Jerusalem.

Author Biography:

He was born in the middle of the last century in Berlin, Germany and worked as a General Manager independently and for several large companies. The 1980's saw him in the field of Data processing centers and security equipment against terrorism and catastrophic events. A quarter of a century ago he moved with his wife and child to Pennsylvania to introduce advanced European security ideas and products to the US. Today he lives on the East coast of Florida and operates since 1995 as an independent entrepreneur in the computer industry. Nevertheless, he still has enough time to let his imagination run free as he pursues his passion of writing. Starting with some novels he changed his focus to more serious matters. So far he published more than thirty books and many short stories. As a history buff he brings the almost lost past to life again by reviving very old historical books or documentations that have all been but forgotten. We can learn from the past to make our future better; if not - from what else?
