GOING SOUTH FOR THE WINTER
Connie is walking in the valley when she meets a butterfly. Even though winter is on its way, he doesn’t want to go south where the weather is warmer. Connie tries to convince him that he should go before the cold and snow arrive.
Spike the spider has made Wally a splendid woolly hat, which Wally lends to Patch. But while Patch is playing, the hat falls off and he loses it. Connie helps him make a replacement with twigs and flowers that they collect in the woods.
CONNIE HUNTS FOR TREASURE
Connie’s mummy sets her a challenge: to find the greatest treasure of all. Connie asks her friends in the woods what it could be, but they all give her a different answer. At last she finds out that the greatest treasure of all is a true friend.

Connie and Patch meets a baby bird who can’t find his nest. Patch looks after the little one, while Connie tries to find its nest. But what kind of nest do birds live in?
THE MULTI-COLOURED SNOW
Nigel the bird is worried. His brothers are coming to spend Christmas with him, but under all the snow, everything looks the same. They won’t be able to find him. Connie asks all her friends to help collect fruit and leaves, and make a multi-coloured sign in the snow, which the birds can see from high in the sky.
THE ANT WHO COULDN’T CONCENTRATE
Connie meets an absent-minded ant, who lost touch with his friends while they were collecting food in the woods. To find the ant’s friends, Connie has to ask all her friends if they know where the ant’s nest could be.
THE SLEEPY BIRD
Patch and Connie are out by the lake at night, looking at the stars. Suddenly they see Wally walking along in his sleep. Spike explains that Wally is sleepwalking, and tells them not to wake up. So the two friends follow him, and try to stop Wally having an accident – falling in the lake, treading in mud, stepping on a snake, or getting spiked by a cactus. When Wally finally wakes up, it’s daytime. He sees his friends and wants to play, but Connie and Patch are already fast asleep...
