Author Biography:

Keith was originally born in Lancashire, England and emigrated to Ireland in 1967. He lives with his wife Rosemary, in County Cavan. For over 35 years he has been involved in textile design, creating patterns and engraving them for the textile industry worldwide. He is also an accomplished portrait painter who's work has been exhibited and he has several high profile people as his subjects. Since his retirement as well as painting he has devoted a lot more time to writing and Colonel Smythe's Daughter is his third novel. His first book 'A Day at the Races' was first published in March 2013. It is the story of a man who needs to raise funds so that his daughter can receive life changing surgery on her liver. Along with a group of friends he embarks on a mission to print counterfeit £50 notes and launder them at horse racecourses around the country to raise the money needed. However, the plans to do this are fraught with danger, and they get involved with corrupt politicians, crooked bank managers, drug lords and the police as they try to pull this off. His second novel Sand Dollar Logistics published in December 2013 was influenced by his many trips to Africa over a thirty five-year period. The story revolves around a deposed African leader, who wants to return to power with the help of a group of mercenaries. The plan is to use nuclear or chemical weapons to achieve this aim. However, MI6 get to hear of the plot and despatch a crack team of SAS operatives to Africa to stop the coup from taking place. A fast moving story develops that jumps from country to country as the SAS hunt down the perpetrators. He is already working on his fourth novel due out mid 2015.
