"Interesting for any Anime Fan"
5 stars"

Code Geass is one of those Anime's that combines Comedy, Action, Suspense all the while delivering all round beautiful Animation. Code Geass shows the decisions one man makes when he's given the power to change the world, be it for better or worse. This man, Lelouch uses his new found power to create a world where his sister, Nunnally can find happiness. To do this he seeks to eliminate hatred in the world by fighting The Holy Britannian Empire, so that the oppression it enforces (mainly on Japan) can be erased. Special Features, include Textless Openings/Closings (both versions if there's more than one version of the same opening or ending), Trailers for other Animes, Audio Commentaries by the Japanese Cast and these cool little Picture Drama Episodes which show events that took place in between Episodes, like Nunnally listening to Euphiemia's opening of the Special Zone and Cornellia opening a swimming pool that Clovis built, these little Episodes are usually funny and can sometimes help with further understanding of later events. This set is well worth the money because you can watch all the Epic Fights and Funny Episodes over and over again.

With both English and Japanese (with English Subtitles) as language options, this collection is amazing! The story itself is captivating, enthralling (and possibly heart-breaking at times), but definitely worth it. It would be a good idea to buy both Season 1 and Season 2 though, as Season 1 doesn't end with a completion of Lelouch's story. Still, every minute of it was absolutely enjotyable!

"More tragedy and twists than Shakespeare with robots"

An amazing and engrossing anime, with gut wrenching losses, twists, tragic circumstances and bitter plans. I would say think the Shakespeare play King Richard, as is similar fashion we are designed to love a semi villainous character one after another. And your heart sinks so many times as characters you love fall into unfortunate scenarios. Seriously, if you want an involving anime and you haven't picked this one up yet. YOU DON'T KNOW WHAT YOU HAVE BEEN MISSING! Essential to pick up collection 2 as well.

On August 10th of the year 2010 the Holy Empire of Britannia began a campaign of conquest, its sights set on Japan. Operations were completed in one month thanks to Britannia's deployment of new mobile humanoid armor vehicles dubbed Knightmare Frames. Japan's rights and identity were stripped away, the once proud nation now referred to as Area 11. Its citizens, Elevens, are forced to scratch out a living while the Britannian aristocracy lives comfortably within their settlements. Pockets of resistance appear throughout Area 11, working towards independence for Japan.

Lelouch, an exiled Imperial Prince of Britannia posing as a student, finds himself in the heart of the ongoing conflict for the island nation. Through a chance meeting with a mysterious girl named C.C., Lelouch gains his Geass, the power of the king. Now endowed with absolute dominance over any person, Lelouch may finally realize his goal of bringing down Britannia from within!
