"Amazing!"

The Mortal Instruments series is really great and addictive! It's a mixed love story and after the first book you want to read them all!!

Far better than Twilight as there is no annoying Jacob, I recommend this series to any Twilight fan!

Cassandra Clare has given each character an individual personality and it's easy to relate to the problems Clary and Jace face. Simon also has a huge part and ends up being a hero.

This is absolutely fantastic! :]

"Boo twilight!!!"

The mortal instruments is a great series. Fans of twilight and harry potter will be at home with these books. Cant wait for the movies (hopefully they get made, I mean come on, they made twilight, so why not these?!)

"A fine example of the genre - better then Twilight."
5 stars"

This is definitely a great start to a wonderful series, in which I think most importantly the characters are well rounded and completely relate-able, even if there is a lot of supernatural. Unlike Twilight with all of its angst and uncanny knack for everything to fall into place without the MC's even trying this is a novel filled with developments, not just in the romance department that need to be overcome. In fact other plot developments are of equal importance, and just as engrossing as the romantic aspect.

If you enjoyed Twilight – or even if you thought the series was a bit lacking and are looking for more, then I certainly recommend the whole series to you. Seriously, just get all three – it will save you pining for the next one.

WOW – great teen reading!!!! I am not a teen – I read it before I passed it on to my neice. Easy to follow plot – but not transparent. She is now a fan too. I have almost finished the second book and ordering the third!!!!

An exciting and intelligent read aimed for teenagers, but like so many books these days has good crossover appeal. An alternate universe where the plot is fast paced, with twists and turns along the way. A definite for those who love the urban fantasy/paranormal genre.

"Love to read about another realms existence? "

I have almost finished this book, it is one that once you pick it up it is very hard to put down. I find myself thinking ‘just one more chapter’ & find I have read 2 or 3 more without realising it. A must read for fans of different realms of existence. I bought the other 2 in this series of 3 at the same time as they are a fantastic price & well worth the read. IMO :0)

"There is magic in these pages"
5 stars"

This was a fantastic read about fantastic things. It was full of action from the get go. Clary our red headed protagonist, is plunged into a mysterious and mythical world that she struggles to believe in. A world where there is no end to interesting things… Think, romantic ‘Hellboy’ ass kicking type of world. Nothing is what it seems as the plot twists and turns, with plenty of backstabbing, face slapping and forbidden love.

It's awesome to read. Kept me reading until the end. As soon as I finished I rang my mum and begged her to buy me the next book! I just had to keep reading and reading.. the characters are so cool… Jace is my fave but my heart goes out to Simon as well. Clary is so lost in the mix of things that I feel her pain.
