Description

A guide to Christian unity for beginners and theologians. Using the contrasting approaches of Harness and Noel, Dr. Perrine illustrates the superiority finding the unity of the Holy Spirit in and through the one holy universal Christian church within its many branches, rather than seeking uniformity of doctrines, liturgical practice and church polity.

Author Biography:

The Rev. Dr. Byron Perrine is an ordained minister of the Southern Baptist Church who has served for many years as a bi-vocational pastor and educator. In addition to working as a public school teacher and administrator, Dr. Perrine has served as a teacher and assistant administrator at Oneida Baptist Institute, a private Christian boarding school located in Kentucky. He has preached at various times in Baptist, Lutheran, Presbyterian, and United Methodist Churches, most recently for many years as pastor of the Bird Island United Methodist Church in Bird Island, Minnesota. Dr. Perrine owns and operates the Knights Inn Lodge Resort in Forest City, Iowa, and opens this facility to Christian seminars and workshops. In 2012 he established Our Christian Heritage Foundation which is located at his inn. In addition to publishing activities, Our Christian Heritage Foundation maintains a library of historical bibles, manuscripts, and theological books open to those seeking quiet research time in a peaceful setting at the Foundation's Biblical Studies Center. Dr. Perrine is a devoted husband, father and grandfather.
