Description

It all began so quietly: an advertisement in the newspaper, interviews -- and David Lomax finds himself behind the wheel of a horsebox in Spain, heading for a renderzvous. What he doesn't know is that he is working for one of the most dangerous organizations in the world. When he discovers what is hidden in the horsebox it precipitates a manhunt, filled with nail-biting tension, that ends in an extraordinary negotiation deep inside the massive Rock of Gibraltar, with two lives hanging on the outcome. Once you begin Choke Point, forget anything else you meant to do. Christopher Scott's debut thriller has the cliff-hanging plot, teeth-clenching tension and expertly-drawn characters that will keep you up all night.

Author Biography:

Christopher Scott graduated from Britain's famous Royal Military Academy, Sandhurst, and spent six years on active service including flying very small aircraft on very dangerous operations -- the final one of which ended in a long stay in hospital. The next phase of his career saw him directing the operations of several of Britain's large landed estates as Resident Agent for two Dukes, one Viscount, one Earl, two Barons and -- finally in the United States, one ex-President. Meanwhile, he has never stopped writing: to date, a dozen books on antique collecting, several guidebooks, one biography, a memoir and two novels. He is married to June, grand-daughter and biographer of Harry Hopkins, President Roosevelt's closest advisor. They make their home in Savannah, GA, where Christopher is President of Savannah Authors Workshop.
